25th Annual Conference of the National Association of the
State Highway and Transportation Unions
Please Join us for the 25th Annual NASHTU Conference!
.June 23-25, 2025, Washington, D.C.
The National Association of State Highway and Transportation Unions (NASHTU) is a respected, national voice dedicated to advancing the interests of transportation department workers throughout the country.

US DOT Secretary Pete Buttigieg addresses the 2024 NASHTU Conference
The annual NASHTU Conference provides an important opportunity for transportation unions to come together and strategize how to best serve our members and deliver safe, cost-effective transportation projects for taxpayers. We are pleased to announce the 2025 NASHTU Conference will be held June 23-25, 2025, at the Hilton Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Congresswoman Hillary Scholten with SEIU 517M members Leni Steiner-Zehender and George Heath.
NASHTU’s federal legislative priorities include reducing wasteful outsourcing, public construction inspection on federally funded infrastructure projects, and increasing federal funding for transportation programs. NASHTU has won many important legislative victories by working together to stop wasteful outsourcing incentives in federal transportation authorizations and other transportation-related legislation.
The NASHTU Conference also provides important access to transportation leaders and key Members of Congress. Past conferences included the congressional leaders of both Senate and House committees with jurisdiction over transportation and infrastructure and key transportation and labor officials from AASHTO, Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO, FHWA, Center for American Progress, American Highway Users Alliance, Economic Policy Institute, and many other transportation stakeholder organizations.
